As my head was on the pillow last night, it clicked: no wonder The Whizzers sent a representative to find me - to clarify the form of the second figure! I had shown two forms, unwittingly. What a dope.

Discussion over breakfast on remedies for mosquito bites, past failures & present successes in remedies for such, and the wisdom of trusting a Welsh Mother in all matters but especially remedies for ailments of all kinds; of which mosquito bites are the present focus of concern.

No mosquitos in the night but, unkindly, immediately I entered the bathroom & began shaving, two savage pink mounds emerged around the left knee.

11.15 At last! I have been waiting years for this! In the Guitar Meeting at 10.00, a Circulation began, and took on a life of its own: living, breathing, whizzing, ongoing & developing.

From this success story (albeit a long time coming) to the problems of separating downbeat from upbeat, counting in 5 and/or 7, and the complexities of C major.

Then to Whizz circulating: the most successful currently is the basic form + 1 whizz. This allows for pausing & continuation, breathing & moving within the form. The speed of this seems to bypass the control of automatic mind & access something deeper. Or maybe it just bypasses the need to hit downbeats & upbeats where they conventionally fall & the 7 notes commonly ascribed to C major.

For the first time: a Free Circulation: When ready, the right person plays the right note at the right time, followed by the second right person who plays the right note at the right time, followed by the third right person to play the right note at the right time, and continuing. If two or more people strike a note simultaneously, the circulation begins again.

Personal meetings begin at 11.30.

13.45  Zum played at lunch, without danger to food. Good comments were offered on the morning’s work, mainly relating to work in the Circle.

18.10  Personal meetings beginning at 17.00.

One visitor asked about memory, the middle & self-observation. Three good questions, and all in the same personal meeting.

20.06  Various performances, including Zum. Someone (actually 3 people) eat Shinkuro’s food while he was away from the table.

Various good comments on the work today, including noticing subtle muscular tension while in the Circle during the Monster It’s A Whizzer! (But Not In Perugia) Circulation this morning; how it seemed to take off with spontaneous changes of register, dynamics & tempo. Perhaps growing knowledge was involved in this, one person suggested.

The Small But Honest  & Group of Twelve +or- Four have both been dissolved & disbanded, forever. So, what to do this evening? A House of Guitars meeting at 21.30.

22.30  Whole circle with free note choice:

Basic form left 4 skip 1;

Basic form right 4 skip 1;

Basic form right 4 skip 2;

Two groups, down & upbeat with the above forms.

Then we introduced the C major scale into 3 octaves & insurmountable problems were encountered; for example, which note in the scale followed D, which followed, E, which followed F, etc. The two groups were disbanded, never to work again – ever.

Then they reformed & Whizz circulations were employed, in various ways including Whizz + 1, for the reformation circulation.

Two-group basic form left with return Whizzes on chromatic THRAK chords got the ballroom jumping & even brought our Alexander Teacher off the floor to see what was going on. It was as if they called out it’s a whizz! But our Alexander Teacher is not from Perugia. A two-group chase the THRAK chord Whizz circulation put Group Two clearly in the lead after two whizzes.

The two groups then joined each other in a large circle for a farewell tour of 3 basic form left whizzes.
